Devdutt Pattanaik is a mythologist, writer, illustrator, and speaker known for exploring the relevance of Indian and global mythology in contemporary life. A former medical professional, he has authored over 50 books and numerous essays on mythology, culture, leadership, and storytelling. His works include Jaya: An Illustrated Retelling of the Mahabharata, Business Sutra, and The Bakasura Trap. Through his writing, talks, and visual storytelling, he engages audiences with the connections between mythology, society, and human behaviour.
